Flagship Programme

The Champions Pathway

Sport-based supported accommodation for vulnerable young adults aged 18–25. Two streams: Men's Structured Boxing Pathway House and Women's Rise Programme. 12-month programme.

18–25 12 Months England-wide Housing Benefit
Eligible: Care leavers, challenging behaviour, placement breakdown, criminal justice involvement, DA survivors (Women's Rise), women at risk of exploitation, tenancy sustainment risk. Must be willing to engage with structured programme and eligible for Housing Benefit.
SEMH Readiness Service

Champions Engagement Hub

Boxing-based SEMH readiness service for young people aged 13–16 who are excluded, at risk of exclusion, persistently absent, or disengaged from education. Structured engagement through boxing, mentoring, and emotional regulation programmes. This is not a school, PRU, or behaviour unit — Unity does not provide accredited education or qualifications.

13–16 SEMH Gedling, Notts Non-residential
Eligible: Young people aged 13–16 with SEMH needs; permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, or persistently absent. Able to participate in structured group coaching with risk controls. Referrals accepted from schools, PRUs, local authorities, SEND teams, social workers, YOTs, Virtual Schools, educational psychologists, and CAMHS / MHST. Parental / guardian consent required.
Not suitable if: Acute crisis requiring constant observation; active high-risk violence; serious weapon / gang risk requiring secure provision; medical restrictions preventing participation; placement restrictions prohibiting community attendance.
Placements are subject to assessment and risk review and are not guaranteed. The referring agency retains responsibility for statutory education arrangements.
Women-Only Service

Women's Pathway

Women-only exempt supported accommodation with housing-related support. 4 beds, Nottinghamshire (confidential location). For women who have experienced domestic abuse, are homeless or at risk. 6–12 month stays.

Women-Only 4 Beds 6–12 Months Confidential
Eligible: DA survivors, homeless or at-risk women, refugees with leave to remain, care leavers, women at risk of exploitation, mild to moderate mental health needs. Includes tailored DASH, MARAC, and perpetrator risk questions.
Phase 1 Service

Recovery Housing

Short-term step-down supported living for adults aged 18+ who have stabilised after crisis or hospital discharge. 5 beds in Gedling, Nottinghamshire. 4–12 week stays. Delivered by Angel Oak Care (CQC) with housing by Unity.

18+ 5 Beds 4–12 Weeks Gedling
Eligible: Mental health recovery, hospital discharge, care leavers, autism/LD crossover (low to moderate needs). Must be stabilised — not a crisis house. Includes clinical status, medication, and discharge planning sections.
Core Service

Exempt Supported Accommodation

General exempt supported accommodation for vulnerable adults. For individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, autism, or complex needs who require housing with ongoing support. Includes detailed housing requirements, mental capacity, and benefits sections.

18+ Ongoing Notts / Midlands / London
Eligible: Adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, or complex needs requiring exempt supported accommodation. Housing Benefit eligible. Comprehensive 5-page form covering housing requirements, support needs, mental capacity, and benefits.

Not suitable for any Unity service: High risk of serious violence, arson, or weapons use. Active unmanaged substance misuse requiring detox or rehabilitation. Acute mental health crisis requiring emergency containment or constant observation. Individuals requiring nursing care, 24-hour supervised care, or inpatient-level containment. MAPPA Level 2/3 cases where specialist MAPPA placement is required.

Call or email us to discuss suitability. We can advise before any paperwork is completed. Same-day response for all enquiries.

Information Sharing

Complete and return the appropriate referral form with any supporting documents — risk assessments, DASH, discharge summaries, or professional reports.

Decision

We aim to review referrals and respond within 5 working days once full information is received. We’ll confirm next steps directly with you.
